Case Study of Care Workers¡¯ Activities for Accidents Prevention in Elderly Care Facilities

Abstract

|
Objective : The purpose of this study was to grasp the realities and factors that affect musculoskeletal disease of care workers through the practice of accidents prevention activities. And with this factors, it aim to provide evidence as to create a safe working environment, long-term care services and prevent musculoskeletal diseases for care workers on a individual level and institutional level of care in elderly care facilities.
Methods : Case Study
Results : This study proposed a program for the prevention of the musculoskeletal disorders. Occupational disease analyses is used to identify common factors that contribute to occupational diseases and provide recommendations for the prevention of disease. We describe the characteristics of the actual safety and health issues in accordance with the policies of the current state of health and safety management MSDS(musculoskeletal disorders). These results can be used to develop more effective industrial safety control policies for the prevention of MSDS.
Conclusion : We discussed the limits of an program for the prevention of the musculoskeletal disorders. The step by step curriculum should be offered. For the first three month at their new job, they have to get the musculoskeletal training and then the humanistic education and the course of caring problematic behaviors of the elderly with dementia are following. In other words, it is necessary to build a systematic training system.
